Data Journalism is the discovery and communication of the stories and knowledge that data hold. "Discovery" includes the acquisition of data as well as the analysis of it, while "communication" can be in either a visual or written format, though is often a combination of both with the end goal of informing and empowering others.

"Postmarks" is a yearlong investigative data journalism project that explores the history, operations, and implications of the USPS in American society from colonial times to today. It includes seven primary chapters, 17 interviews, and a methods appendix with data analysis.
