My GLISP was — without a doubt — my most inspiring experience as an undergraduate at Brown.
The GLISP brought me into the field, into the slum communities of New Delhi, into my first rigorous research experience, and into my passion for urban development. Here, I discovered that the social theories and economic models I learned in the classroom were not enough; a sophisticated understanding of development would require engaging with these issues as they exist on the ground.
This experience [was] foundational in my work [first] as a Fulbright researcher in Mexico and [then] as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford."
